"Introduction to Watercolor" NSCC
Learn about materials such as preparation of paper, selecting and maintaining brushes, selecting paints as well as basic painting techniques such as basic wash technique, layering with glaze and drip techniques and create texture and special effects using sponges, tissues and other tools.

Writing Childrens Books  Highline CC
Whether you are already a published author or just an aspiring writer with a good idea, the childrens publishing industry can be a difficult field to enter. This class will provide you with the information you need. From a comprehensive bibliography to the constructive criticism of fellow students, we will plot a course and navigate turbulent waters on the way to getting published. Bring your good ideas and best intentions to an excellent first class in childrens book writing. Join this class as a support group for help along your way, and make important contacts among beginners before they become prize-winning authors. Bring a preferred childrens book sample for reference and study in class.
